What is Stockpiling?

Once you've gone on a few shopping trips with coupons, you may want to take it to the next level of saving: stockpiling. Stockpiling is when you buy items in multiples to save until you need them later. That way later on you won't have to pay full price. This is one of the best ways to save money.

Start out small. The best items to start a stockpile of are toiletries. Once you find a free or cheap item such as toothpaste, buy at least 3 of them. Remember to use coupons on these items if you can!
It may seem like a lot of money up front, but you will be saving in the long run. Buying three toothpastes at $.99 is much better than buying three at $3.50 each.

You can keep these items on a empty shelf in your linen closet or under your bathroom sink. Keep it up and pretty soon you'll have a nice, little stockpile and big savings.
